Last September, I had the privilege of being photographed and featured on the Apartment Therapy website. This platform is a well-known entity for all decorating enthusiasts constantly on the lookout for inspiration.
When I'd go for long bike rides, I'd stop to look at them and rank them in order of preference, saying to myself: “If I were rich, I'd buy this one”.So, for me, real estate became a passion (an obsession?!) and I bought my first apartment at the age of 25, on my own and, of course, an old one.
When it comes to decorating, I don't think there are really any rules, at most, the only rule for me is comfort and ease of living in my home. There can't be too much furniture, and certainly not unnecessary furniture.
I also like to mix furniture periods. I like to hunt and mix. There's just one period I intrinsically hate: the 70s. Why? Because that's how my parents decorated their home for most of my childhood, and we don't generally aspire to decorate our homes the way our parents did...
In it, I share the story behind the purchase of this apartment and its renovation. My decorating inspirations and my passion for color on every wall.
Thanks again to Selena Kirchhoff for the beautiful photographs and to Adrienne Breaux for celebrating my interior with a beautiful article.
