The 7 Wonderful Beaches of Portugal

Portugal is known for its good wine, its elaborate sweets and its green and fresh landscapes, but it is essentially recognized for its dream beaches that do not leave anyone indifferent. From fine sand to rough sea waves, Portugal's continental climate on the coast makes seaside resorts pleasant and pleasant, attracting many foreign bathers.

Situated at the foot of the Serra da Arrábida, this place is incredibly simple with stunning views. Located at the confluence of the Óbidos lagoon and the sea, this name is very popular in the hot summer season due to its extensive beach, the shallow depth of the lagoon and proximity to the sea.

This convergence between lagoon and sea makes possible two different types of activities. “On one side, the lagoon, a place of great beauty, ideal for children, due to its calm waters, and for windsurfing, benefiting from the wind that is normally felt here.

Located at the mouth of Ribeira de Seixe where you can take a boat or canoe trip, Praia de Odeceixe (one of the best known in the region) offers a choice between bathing in the sea or bathing in the river. At low tide, the small lagoons that form on the vast shore are great for children to have fun without much danger.

Between two cliffs, this beach of fine sand is the ideal place for good waves in the afternoon with the family.

Its access is easy and its coast is vast, leaving anyone enchanted.

Another corner of paradise that Portugal is happy to let live. This beautiful scenery that nature has given us extends over a large coastline open to the sea; calm and relaxing, it is an ideal place for sunbathing, away from noisy visitors, common boats and sporting activities.

Sheltered by its high cliffs, the wind is felt in adequate doses. Its turquoise waters are calm and its sand is fine and delicate underfoot. This beautiful panorama includes nearby restaurants and shops.

A beach that enchants for its beauty and landscape, a place with sea without rocks that extends from Praia Barranco das Belharucas to the city of Vilamoura. In addition to its golden sand and its extensive beach, the beach also has cliffs, giving it a beautiful view of the horizon. A magical place with incredible scenery full of vegetation.

A nature trail that runs along the line of the cliffs and some stairs that lead to the sand that extends to the west; the beach involves "calcareous cliffs of warm tones, very fractured and fissured, displaying a remarkable diversity of curious rock patterns". Beyond its coastline, we can see small fields of orchids visible at the top of the cliff. A rich and impressive terrain.

Located in the center of the island of Berlenga Grande in the bay of the maritime pier that connects the archipelago to Peniche, this beach is the largest on the island. In an almost natural state, the beaches of Berlengas "are usually difficult to access and have little or no sand". The combination of its natural beauty, the fine golden sand and its crystal waters make this beach a stunning spot for bathers looking for calm and relaxation in nature.
